To kiss or not to kiss
Guys are sometimes very strange. Had a date with a guy, who was a mutual friend of a friend. She said he was a nice, normal guy. Apparently, she didn’t know him all that well. We met for drinks, went back to my place and watched a movie. He never made a move on me until he said he was going to get going and that’s when it got weird. I was sitting on the couch he got up to leave but then he turned around, stood in front of me and started unzipping his pants. Hold on dude, we haven’t even kissed, and you expect a blow job? He…

You want what?
Disclaimer – this story is just plain gross. It’s always interesting to me how kinky some people are but I’m not passing judgment. A guy I met on-line asked me what I was into sexually. I get this question all the time being on dating apps and I’m really glad he asked. I vaguely answered his question and asked what he was into. He replied he really likes is his date and/or girlfriend to go out with a guy other than him, have sex with that person, come right home to him so he can “clean you up.” I passed on that offer. Next!

What do you want?
If you knew their intentions from the start, it would save you a lot of time and heartache later Unknown This quote says it all. Why is it every guy seems to want a quick fuck and nothing else? Doesn’t anyone date anymore? It would be so much easier if everyone had a stamp on their forehead and you knew what they were looking for vs. what they tell. And how about things guys say in the moment. I don’t they intentionally say things they don’t mean, maybe I just have to realize that’s all it is – in the moment. Lately I’ve been asking myself if there is something…

Be careful what question you ask
Early on I was giving out my phone number way too quickly. I was texting with a guy who seemed nice and normal (they usually all do at first). After small talk about how had my day been, he texted he had been thinking about me so I asked him “what were you thinking? I thought it was an innocent question. He responded by sending me an extreme close-up of his “junk” which was apparently very happy to see me. It was at that moment when I realized no question is innocent and not to leave my phone unlocked and open when I am around other people!

Online dating is fun – said no one ever
After my divorce I tried online dating and quickly learned about fake profiles. Working on an off-shore oil rig, serving overseas in the military, or looking like one of the hottest person you’ve ever seen equals fake. Bad grammar or an instant response to your message also equals fake. I learned the hard way (no pun intended) to not give out my number – it resulted in lots of dick pics. Be careful out there, don’t give out your number right away and if they want to take the conversation off the app to another platform, don’t do it! And how about a lesson in those acronyms – NSA, FWB,…

What does that mean???
Let’s talk acronyms in dating! here’s a handy secret decoder ring: NSA – No Strings Attached FWB – Friends with Benefits Netflix and Chill – come over and fuck me DTF – Down to Fuck ONS – One Night Stand Benching – starts talking to you, then seems to move on “benching” you only to come back later Ghosting- you are talking, things are going great then poof! he disappears Breadcrumbing – texting you or calling once in a while, just enough to keep your interest. Similar to benching.
