In a post titled “Polar Opposites” I wrote about a guy I had started seeing; this post is the end of the opposites attract. Why do guys ghost??? I recently moved to a new state and decided to try the dating apps. There has to be better guys in a new state, or so I thought. I met a guy on-line, we talked, texted and seemed to hit it off. I won tickets to an NBA game and took this guy on a date to the game. He didn’t look exactly like his profile pictures, but he was super nice, and we had fun at the game. The Bartender
When I met the Bartender, he was in the process of selling his house moving out of state. I chose to ignore the fact that was moving to another state (within driving distance). I also ignored his foot fetish which was a first for me. Whenever I got a pedicure, I texted him a picture of my toes because I knew he loved it. This past April a friend and I headed to my favorite beach for some sun. At the time of the trip I was still on a dating app which picks up your location. Ghosting
What is the deal with ghosting? You are talking one day and then poof! they disappear. Wont answer a text or a phone call. I saw a TikTok video where a guy said ghosting was a “casual exit” I beg to differ. Ghosting is cowardly, immature and incredibly rude. I think it’s sad it is so prevalent in todays’ dating world. I’ve been ghosted more than once and it’s confusing, depressing and hurtful. I’ll have a few stories to post in this category that have made me shake my head and wonder what’s wrong with me? Is it really me or is it them??
