Pick up lines – Update

I wrote about one guy with the best pickup line I’ve ever heard. “Let’s skip the endless chit chat, meet for a drink and make poor life choices together.” At the time I wrote the story he hadn’t responded to my text.

Update: he responded, and we agreed to meet for a drink. Unfortunately, the pickup line was his best line. He was nice but very pretentious, a bit snobby and just not my type. We had nothing in common, nothing to talk about so that was the end of that on-line encounter.

However, while I was waiting for my date to arrive, I got to talking to two guys sitting next to me, one of which was single. He and I got to talking and exchanged phone numbers.

He left right before my date arrived but sent me a text that said: “this may sound bad, but I really hope your date tonight doesn’t go well so I can take you out.”
